Charity and Fundraising Events

Below are some of the charities and events which Kingshurst Primary School help to support. Your kind donations and support in any of our events is always very much appreciated.  yes

Previous events and how much we raised...

 

RED NOSE DAY - FRIDAY 15th MARCH

We came to school wearing anything red or any Comic Relief merchandise for a donation of £1 and raised £236 for the charity.

 

CAKE SALE - THURSDAY 8th FEBRUARY

We raised a brilliant £193.58 from selling cakes, going towards funds for some first aid training for children. Thank you to all who supported us.

 

CHRISTMAS FAIR - WEDNESDAY 13th DECEMBER 

Thank you to all who came along and supported us at the fair and to those who donated items to the stalls - we raised over £1540 for our school fund. 

 

CHRISTMAS JUMPER DAY FOR SAVE THE CHILDREN

On Thursday 7th December children and staff donated money and came to school wearing their favourite festive jumpers/tops and raised £187.15 for Save the Children yes

 

CHILDREN IN NEED - FRIDAY 17th NOVEMBER '23

Children and staff came to school wearing their pyjamas and official Pudsey merchandise, and donated towards this worthwhile charity raising £306 on the day.

 

ODD SOCK DAY FOR ANTI-BULLYING - Monday 13th November 2023

We wore odd socks again this year in support of the 2023 Anti-bullying campaign

 

Scholastic Book Fair - 23rd - 27th October 2023

A total of £1128.02 was spent at the latest book fair, which equates to £564.01 worth of free books for our school. Well done to everyone who visited and supported the event.  

 

Wear Pink for Breast Cancer - October 2023

We raised £248 for a Breast Cancer charity, by wearing pink to school. Thank you for all of your donations towards this brilliant cause.

Hello Yellow Day  - In Support of the Young Minds Charity  - 10th October '23

School looked very bright again on Tuesday as we wore YELLOW to school and sent in donations in support of World Mental Health day for the Young Minds Charity. We raised  £215.35 for this cause. Thank you.

 

School Summer Fair - 18th July 2023

Thank you to everyone who came along to our successful Summer Fair on 18th July 2023, we raised well over £1000 from donations brought in for stalls and various other activities. Thank you all so much.

 

Friday 19th May was a non-uniform day to raise funds for the 'Lily Mae Foundation' who help and support families through the loss of a baby. Children and staff contributed £1 towards this worthwhile cause and we raised a brilliant £313.  Thank you everyone!

 

Wear Green & Blue for Earth Day

Children and staff wore green and blue to school and donated £1 to the World Wildlife Fund, to help towards the protection of animals and their habitats across the world. We raised £263 for this brilliant cause - Thank you to all who donated.

 

Red Nose Day - Friday 17th March 2023

This was a non-uniform day and children donated £1 to come to school wearing official Red Nose Day merchandise and/or something red. Our school together with Kingshurst Caterpillars Playgroup, raised a grand total of £320 for this very worthy cause. Thank you all for your kind donations.

 

Childrens Mental Health & Well-being Week - February 2023

We wore something BLUE to school in aid of the Mental Health charity 'Mind' and raised an amazing £349 in donations which will go towards Mr Cox's fundraising, as he will be taking part in the forthcoming London Marathon. Thank you to everyone who donated.

 

CAKE SALE AND RAFFLE For Birmingham Children's Hospital

We held a yummy cake sale (cakes were donated by Parents and staff) and a raffle after school last term, which raised £491.34 for the Birmingham Children's Hospital. Thank you everyone who donated and bought cakes - they were a definite sell-out! 

 

CHILDREN IN NEED - Friday 18th November 2022

A BIG THANK YOU to everyone who took part in our CHILDREN IN NEED Be SPOTacular Day on Friday 18th November - We had a non-uniform day and children wore Pudsey merchandise or something SPOTTY to school for a donation of £1.  We raised an impressive £338.17 for this worthwhile charity.  Well done everyone.

 

ODD SOCK DAY FOR ANTI-BULLYING - Monday 14th November 2022

Children wore odd socks to school in support of the Anti-bullying campaign

 

SHOW RACISM THE RED CARD

In support of Show Racism the Red Card on Friday 21st October, children wore red to school. Thank you to everyone for taking part in this campaign and helping to get this very important message across.

 

MONDAY 10th OCTOBER WAS WORLD MENTAL HEALTH DAY

School looked very bright as we wore YELLOW to school and sent donations in support of World Mental Health day. We raised a fantastic £250 for this cause. Thank you.

 

COMIC RELIEF AND WEAR YELLOW AND BLUE FOR UKRAINE

BIG THANK YOU to all who joined in and donated to show support for the Wear Yellow and Blue for Ukraine and Comic Relief Non-Uniform Days earlier this year. It was lovely to see the children taking part. To date, we have raised over £1000 for Ukraine and over £350 for Comic Relief.  We are sure that this money will be welcomed and appreciated by both Charities 

 

These are amazing amounts of money to raise for the charities - Thank you all once again!
