Forest School at Kingshurst

Forest School is lots of fun and will take place in the specially created area in the school grounds. During the sessions, children will be working with each other to carry out set activities such as: den/shelter building, role play, exploration, together with practical and creative skills/tasks. Later in the year the children will also have the opportunity to work with ‘real’ tools and experience the excitement of a camp fire.

Research has shown that Forest School can have a powerful effect on children’s confidence, self-esteem and independence as well as an increase in social and physical skills.
